The Soul Never Dies

Lost in the feelings, lost in the laughter
Lost in a world of lies
Lost in the moment, lost from their senses
Lost is the look in their eyes
Life with no hope, tell me who's fooling whom
Hurting and crying, living and dying, hopeless beginning to end
They just don't know there's a place they can go
To get true relief from a friend

Chorus
The answer's so clear, I can see it from here
But it's nothing to those who can't see
For it can't be found by looking around with your eyes
The place you must start is to look in your heart
That's where I found God's feelings for me
And how should I live, knowing the soul never dies

Lost in religion, they go through the motions
Doing what they're told is right
Then there are some who are looking for crumbs
Searching for morsels of life
Those little ones, precious daughters and sons of the King
Most will be lost as their final cost
But some will be shown the right way
They will find hope when their eyes are opened
And they will give Jesus the praise

Chorus
Oh the feeling's so clear that I want them all near
Though they may want nothing from me
But that is alright, I'll ask Jesus to open their eyes
Oh what can I give and what can I do
So they can see Jesus in me
And how should I live knowing the soul never dies

Lost in the feelings, lost in the laughter
Lost in the spirit of Christ
Lost in the moment, lost in my senses
Lost when I look in His eyes
A life full of hope, tell me who's fooling whom
Laughing and crying, living, not dying
Hopeful beginning to end
They just don't know there's a place I can go
To get true relief from a friend

Chorus
The truth is so clear, so precious and dear
Don't take it for granted my friend
Be thankful and true if Jesus has opened your eyes
There's no need to be lost when Christ paid the cost
Just live your life faithful and true
For how should we live, knowing the soul never dies
